Are pub chips gluten free?

Often not for coeliacs: most pubs cook chips in a fryer shared with battered and crumbed food. Chef’s Kiss never infers that fried food is gluten free; it shows “gluten free” only when the venue printed it, and tells you to ask whether the fryer is shared.

Are these answers guaranteed?

Chef’s Kiss reads each venue’s own menu and says where every answer came from. It never calls a dish safe: kitchens share fryers, boards and flour, and menus change. If you have coeliac disease or an allergy, confirm with staff before you order.
