    Questions people ask first

    What is Chef’s Kiss?

A search of every dish in Brisbane’s restaurants, cafés and pubs: 9,132 venues, with 18,208 dishes read from 380 menus so far. Type a dish, a cuisine or a suburb, and see what each dish is free of.

How do you know if a dish is gluten free?

From the venue’s own menu first: labels like GF, GFO and DF and the menu’s legend. Where the menu has no label, from the ingredients it lists, and then a model’s judgement, which is checked when it is unsure. Every dish says which of these decided it, and when the menu was read.

    Is it safe for coeliacs?

Chef’s Kiss reads each venue’s own menu and says where every answer came from. It never calls a dish safe: kitchens share fryers, boards and flour, and menus change. If you have coeliac disease or an allergy, confirm with staff before you order.

What does “can be made free” mean?

The kitchen offers a version without it on request, such as a gluten-free base or no aioli. The dish shows what to ask for, like “GF pasta +$4”, when the menu says.

Which venues are Coeliac Australia accredited?

Venues on Coeliac Australia’s Gluten Free Accreditation Program list carry an “accredited” mark with the date the list was checked.

    How fresh are the menus?

Menus are re-read about monthly, sooner when they change. Every venue page shows the date its menu was read and links to the source. This index was built on 5 Nov 2026.

Can my AI assistant search it?

Yes, with no sign-up and no key: add https://chefskiss.pages.dev/mcp as an MCP server in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client. Scripts can call https://chefskiss.pages.dev/api/search?q=gluten+free+pizza+manly.
